This website is runned and owned by studnets, to no group (student or academic) shall this website be part of except KuMSA (Kuwait University Medical Studnets Associtaion) under certain contracted rules.
3.Aims :
This website aims at the following:
Main Goals: 1)Create a web community of medical students, with a Forum. 2)Create an ultimate medical Database of Books, Lectures, case studies, Clinical skills, and other materials. 3)Create a public health education Program with a database of patient friendly content. 4)Facilitate the participation of Medical students in Volunteering in community works, and parties that have such targets.( CAN; child rights; KaCCH, red cresent, etc.
4.A new medical era….
Kuwait-MD also tries its best in regards to the new PBL system (problem based learning). This is achieved by allowing student to look at clinical cases in the PBL FORUM, that are provided by the medical research center staff, provide their opinion, and look at the optimal answer/ report at the end.
The website will also be equipped with a special forum, LATEST MEDICAL FINDINGS, in which both student and professors can share what is known lately, and any new medical finding that they were updated with from the internet or medical journals. Information posted on the website is to be formally referenced to the source.
5.A large academic society:
Registering in the website will allow students to share the problems that they are facing in their university life. A special issue regarding the 3rd year group for instance, can be sorted out in the 3RD YEAR ARENA in the Student affairs forum, this way both male and female students will be able to know what is new, and what is going on, notes, posters, announcements, and other publications can be shared online.
6.News post & Events:
A special group in Kuwait-MD staff will be posting all about what is new in the university, circulations from the Dean / Vice Dean's office can also be published. Any conferences, seminars, or meeting of interest to medical students can be also advertised on this medical community using the NEWS POST . Issues from news throughout the world, medical or non-medical, can be viewed, discussed and will be strictly moderated for any illegal/flame-bait posts.
7.Social aspect of being a doctor:
With the wide spread use of internet among medical students, Kuwait-MD can become one of the most important medical websites here in Kuwait, available to both students, and perhaps later to physicians and consultants working in hospitals and clinics. This way our students can get help in their academics as well as develop a side of their career, which requires the doctor to be socially adaptable with the environment of patients and fellow physicians.
In the GENERAL FORUM student will be able to discuss problems facing them in their daily life, organize social activities, and build a co-operative medical community.
8.Copy rights and responsibilities:
