We shall be running two afternoons for Skills Revision on Monday and Tuesday, May 31 and June 1:
MDL 3 and 4, 14.00 – 16.00
The format of these sessions will be that students who wish to participate shall demonstrate their skills, for example:
Examination of a case of peripheral arterial disease
Examination of the precordium
Examination of the JVP
Examination of a case of congestive cardiac failure
Recording the blood pressure
Demonstrating all major pulses
It is not a time when the tutors will demonstrate the skills per se, rather watch your demonstration carefully and give you feedback which we hope will help you improve your skills confirm the results of or personal revision. Clearly some of this will be a form of demonstration but not a formal and complete one as there is not time . Therefore, please try and practice at home or between yourselves before these sessions if you wish to get the most out of them
important Update :
Dear Students,
This is further to the email from the Centre for Medical Education about the OSCE revision. Since there is an important Faculty activity on Monday, May 31, 2010, the OSCE revision will now be held on June 1 and 2, 2010 (Tuesday and Wednesday). The time and venue remains unchanged.
Wish best wishes,
